The Creative Collective is the workshop arm of Nordic Edge
Creative Collective was born out of wanting to share our hobbies with others. At Nordic Edge we have the workshop, tools and the skills, and wanted to let others join in on the fun.
The Creative Collective is what we call the workshop “arm” of our business, where you can spend some time with us learning a new craft, have some fun and bring home a cool thing to use for years to come!
Spoon Carving Workshop
Our most relaxed workshop, come by yourself or bring a friend and learn how to carve an awesome kitchen spoon to take home. The workshop includes a set of spoon carving tools to bring home and a nice lunch.
Forged Chef Blade
In this workshop you will forge your own chef blade by fire and hammer! Heat treat it, grind it to your design and walk away with a beautiful slicer to bring home at the end of the day.

Introduction to Blacksmithing
A one-day hands on class where you spend the day exploring blacksmithing by making your own bottle opener.
After a safety briefing you learn about the tools and techniques used by blacksmiths of the past, and jump in there to get your hands dirty hammering on your own project.
After lunch you have a couple of hours of “free forging time” where you can forge another little project to bring home, exploring the tools and techniques you have learned about.
The workshop
The workshops are held at Nordic Edge in Brookvale, NSW 2100. The week of your workshop you will get a Welcome email to remind you, with more details on how to find us and what to expect on your day.
